The Erie Golf Club is a icon in the history of golf in this region.  For the past 10 years it had become a sort of whipping boy due to it's harsh playing conditions and short and hilly topography.

The tables turned early in Mayor Rick Filippi's administration when it was decided to remodel the course and shape up the clubhouse in order to prepare the course for a new generation.
